Our Story
Willow & Wand is a café bookstore opening in Mogadore, Ohio. A place where you can order a dirty soda, find a book you didn't know you needed, and actually want to stay for a while. We're two things at once, on purpose, because we think coffee and books belong together.
Northeast Ohio has plenty of places to grab a coffee and go. We're building something different — a neighborhood spot where regulars have their own mug behind the bar, the bookshelves are curated by people who actually read, and kids have their own corner with their own drinks and their own stories.
What We're Building
We're not just a coffee shop and we're not just a bookstore. We're both, and a community space on top of it.
The café offers espresso drinks, drip coffee, dirty sodas, smoothies, and a full kids menu. The bookstore carries a curated selection chosen for this community — staff picks, local authors, and a children's section. And beyond that, author events, book clubs, kids story time, and a membership program for people who want to be part of this from the beginning.
How We're Getting There
We're building this the right way. The LLC is filed, the EIN is secured, the business account is open, and we're in active lease negotiations on a space in Mogadore. The foundation is in place.
Next up: a Kickstarter launch to bring our founding community in early, followed by build-out and design, and then opening day — with a founders-only soft open for members of The Regulars before the doors open to everyone.
The Regulars
The Regulars is our founding membership program. Five tiers, your own named enamel camp mug behind the bar, and perks that stack up every visit. Founding members get in before we open — memberships are available through our Kickstarter and valid through the end of 2027.
Tiers: The Bookworm ($59) · The Dog-Eared ($79) · The Well-Read ($149) · The First Edition ($299) · The Signed Manuscript ($1,000)
What We Believe
-
We're building a neighborhood spot for Northeast Ohio — not a chain, not a concept.
-
Fewer books chosen well. A tighter menu done right.
-
We're building a place that rewards lingering.
-
A love of books starts early and should be fun.
